 | | Artist | Kjell-åke Larsson | | Gender | Male | | Age | 45 years old | | Status | Amateur photographer | | Country | Sweden | | Influence | I have many influences who inspire me:
Colour landscape: For me it is David Noton. His images are often "less is moore" and he is a friendly chap.
Long exposure: Michael Kenna, cause he is not shooting only seascape and the same goes for Michel Rajkovic. I also like Mark Voce, because he shoots the countryside. To some lesser exstent Michael Levin, although I think alot of photographers are trying to copy his work. Cole Thompson is another favorite.
Streetlife and humanitarian photography: The whole Magnum Photos basically. I really like Raghu Rai for is shot of life in India, Steve Mccurry, David Hurn for his love for Wales and its countryside,Trent Parke for his images of street life in Australia and its outback. Last David duChemin for his amazing photography and split toning. He is also friendly on his blog. |
| Information | I picked up photography about a year ago when I was going through a rough patch in life. A friend who, work as a photographer, pointed out that I had a good eye for photography.
I´m currently working as a sailor on a car carrier, which means I have alot of sparetime and sometime I go offline for weeks.
When it comes to photography is my approach is fairly simple. I dont scout locations. Instead I usually go for a drive or take a walk with my camera, which is a Nikon D90 and my Lee filters. Among them is the Big Stopper. I`m mainly interested in landscape, urban landscape and streetlife (socialrealism.
I really thislike elitism when it comes to photography. Instead I favor a friendly and helpful photographic community. | |
